Super Bowl XLIII: What They Are Saying Jan 22nd
By Scott Allen
With four days gone by in the countdown to Tampa and the teams only four more days from arriving in the Florida hot spot, the attention on the game and the teams is starting to pick up.
Richard Sandomir of the New York Times discusses the Arizona Cardinals viewership draw around the country, or lack thereof.
I was asked to contribute some thoughts to this piece, but unfortunately my tight schedule yesterday did not allow me to respond in a timely manner. He brings up some good points. I especially like the quote from NBC’s Al Michaels when asked about covering the Cardinals, no one is looking at them before the season started, however look for them to be on Sunday Night Football next season “rest assured.” I would not be surprised if is the Indianapolis game in Glendale or the Tennessee game in Nashville next season.
Brad Biggs from the Chicago Sun-Times wrote that Cardinals Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley is a hot commodity.
He said it. I reported the other night that Haley was being reported as the next coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. My counterpart Tim of buffalowdown.com sent me word that Haley may not be the man in KC, but rather Mike Shanahan. Not too surprising.
Mike Sando of espn.com writes about the Cardinals evolving offense.
A great post that talks about the Cardinals and how they have the great passing attack and might not have won on Sunday without it, however the brutal 14 play drive in the fourth quarter is what defined the Cardinals offense.
Go Cardinals!!
