Well if you can’t beat them, sign them to a contract.
The Cardinals signed former Steelers cornerback Bryant McFadden to a two year contract on Sunday. He is expected to compete with Rod Hood for a starting spot.
I like the move. His agent is none other than Drew Rosenhaus. He said that he felt like McFadden is an $8 million guy a year, although he agreed to $5 million. He felt that if McFadden hadn’t been injured and missed six games in 2008, he’d be getting the $8 million. Really? Interesting. Well, I hope he does produce like an $8 million guy. If he does, maybe he will get a restructure for 2010.
Either way, it is nice to see the Cards finally entering the free agent market making a purchase. I was getting tired of the browsing.
Go Cards!
