Boldin and Breaston Bruised but Will Play

Arizona Cardinals receivers Anquan Boldin and Steve Breaston are both nursing injuries, however both stand good chances of playing this Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.

Boldin put it out there himself when interviewed by Fox Sports Arizona last night during the Arizona DiamondbacksLos Angeles Dodgers game.  He said he would “definitely” play.  Cards Coach Ken Whisenhunt today said chances are “very good”.

Breaston has a bruise on his knee, but he played through it last week in Denver and will do the same this Sunday.

Now, back to Boldin. I’m all fine with Boldin proclaiming himself available for game this Sunday, but what the heck is he doing in the stands wearing a Dodgers cap?  He claimed he’s a fan of both teams, however is a good friend of Dodgers and former Dbacks second baseman Orlando Hudson.  He said Hudson, “O-Dog”, as he is affectionately known as, got him the tickets, so he was supporting him.  C’mon Q, if you are a fan of the fans, you need to support the home team.

Either way, it will be nice to see him on the field.  We will need every bit of him to meet the expectations based on the results of last season.
