Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell earned NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for blocking a field goal that led to a Cardinals touchdown in the victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It was Campbell’s first career blocked field goal. It came on his second start ever as a defensive end. However it was his special teams play that took center stage. Go figure. The play really changed the momentum of the game. It went from a possible 10-6 game in the second quarter to a 17-3 game and the Cards never looked back.
Let’s see a lot more of that!
