Antrel Rolle Finally Released

The word on the street for the past few weeks was that Arizona Cardinals safety Antrel Rolle was going to be released to save the Cards from having to pay a roster bonus.  Well, they finally pulled the trigger on Thursday.  Although the Cards have said they would like to attempt to re-sign Rolle, my best guess is that Rolle will find gold on the free agent market.  That market opens after midnight tonight.

Rolle has really improved his play over the past two seasons and I would really like the Cardinals try to find the right deal for him.  I don’t think they will end up in a bidding war for him with that being said though.  The Cardinals can address Rolle’s position through other free agents or the draft.  The Cards have proven the past two drafts that they can draft a decent secondary.
