Cards Make Spalsh With Trade
By Scott Allen
Chalk one up for the Arizona Cardinals. It’s not a move that makes you jump out of your seat, but after yesterday, signing a waterboy would be big news today. The Cards traded one of their fourth round draft picks for this season and a seventh rounder for 2011 to the New York Jets for safety Kerry Rhodes.
Rhodes replaces Antrel Rolle who bolted for the New York Giants on Friday. Rhodes had three interceptions in the last six games after struggling the first ten games of 2009.
If nothing else, we can’t say the first couple of days of free agency have been boring for the Cardinals. I think they are far from done in the trade or free agency department. Looking forward to seeing what they do next. It’s anyone’s guess.
