Around the NFC West
By Scott Allen
With the last week of Arizona Cardinals OTA’s taking place, here’s another look at what’s making news around the NFC West.
The San Francisco 49ers traded WR Issac Bruce back to the St. Louis Rams today, where it is reported Bruce will retire this week at the age of 37, spending 14 of his 16 years in St. Louis.
Classy move by both organizations. Bruce was the ultimate professional. He never threw anyone under the bus and was willing to be a role player in his last few years. Hopefully others around him were able to soak in his work ethic and learned a thing or two from him.
The Seattle Seahawks were mentioned as a possible suitor for free agent WR Terrell Owens but none other than Owens himself. He was interviewed while attending the NBA Finals and would only confirm he was interested in Seattle. That could be an interesting choice if the Hawks go that route. Stay tuned.
