Beanie Wells With a Very In-Active Active Day

facebooktwitterreddit

The Arizona Cardinals told us that Beanie Wells was active this morning.  Coach Ken Whisenhunt told us Friday he was ready to go after being limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday.  Wells participated in Friday’s practice. He did not play much at all in the 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings today.

Well he was officially active on Sunday, but he was the most inactive active running back the Cards have had since Edgerrin James was this inactive in, you guessed it, Minnesota, four years ago when James carried three times.  Wells on Sunday – one carry, negative 2 yards.  Why use up the roster spot if he wasn’t playing?

Aside from the fantasy owners who have Wells, it really was deceiving for coach Whiz to make us believe he was all playing.  As each week goes by the less and less I trust in coach Whiz.  Don’t believe what he says.  I will never ever believe an Arizona Cardinals injury report again.

If he was healthy, then why didn’t he play more?  Tim Hightower carried 13 times.  LaRod Stephens-Howling four times.  That leads me to believe Wells wasn’t healthy, which then leads me to ask, in coach Whiz do you trust?
