I’d Rather Watch American Idol
By Scott Allen
I used to be a fan of American Idol. Now Idol has just become ridiculous, another sinking reality show gone awry. With new judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, I just can't bring myself to watching what this show has become. There was a day I'd clear my schedule to watch. I also used to be that way with the Arizona Cardinals. That was, until this season. I like Steven Tyler, just not as a judge. I still love my Arizona Cardinals, just not interested in watching anymore of what transpired this past season.
I'd rather watch American Idol than watch Dominique Rodgers Cromartie get burned over and over again, something that will continue if he doesn't grow as a player and continues to show boat.
I'd rather watch American Idol than see the Cardinals wheel out NCAA D-III quarterbacks to start their games.
I'd rather watch American Idol than listen to Beanie Wells complain about not getting the ball enough.
I'd rather watch American Idol than watch the Cardinals turn the ball over 7 times a game.
I'd rather watch American Idol than watch the Cards continue an unbalanced offensive attack.
I'd rather watch American Idol than see coach Ken Whisenhunt continue his duel role as offensive coordinator.
I'd rather watch American Idol than see the Cards skip drafting a quarterback in the 2011 draft.
I'd rather watch American Idol than watch the Cards anemic offensive line stand still as if frozen by Mr. Freeze from Batman & Robin.
I'd rather watch American Idol than spend one more second dwelling on 2010. Unfortunately, I think there is much more to come.
