Steve Breaston Could be Kansas City Bound
By Scott Allen
Arizona Cardinals receiver Steve Breaston has apparently decided not to return to the team that drafted him in 2007. In what is only what I would consider a mild surprise, Breaston is going to opt to sign with another team. That team is rumored to possibly be the Kansas City Chiefs.
To me, a move to Kansas City is the most logical move, which would reunite him with his former coach Todd Haley. Breaston has a done a lot for the Cards but never really was able to solidify the number two receiver spot. That being said, I will miss Breaston’s work ethic and attitude. He was a little more inconsistent last season, however he still had big games.
When Breaston was asked point blank if he wanted to be an Arizona Cardinal, he said what most construed as him truly wanting to stay. His comments seemed more like a guy who would be happy staying here but resigned to the reality it may not be so. That reality is starting to take shape. So now, the watch is on to see how long it takes before the Chiefs snap him up.
