Five Questions for San Diego Chargers BoltBeat.Com

Five questions from Raising Zona for the lead writer Ernie Padaon of the San Diego Chargers blog Boltbeat.com in preview of tomorrow night’s game at University of Phoenix Stadium.  It is game three of the preseason.

Question #1:

Raising Zona:

What about the rumors the San Diego Chargers moving to Los Angeles? I think it would be a bad move. Has it gotten that bad in San Diego that now they want to move to LA?

Bolt Beat:

The owners have been denying the rumor from day 1, but it has been something that we have been dealing with for a long long time. With every step that
Los Angeles makes with their stadium, we just hold our breaths even more worrying about the team moving out. It’s not that the team does not have the
fan support, it is that their are a lot of hurdles to deal with in order to get a new stadium built here in San Diego.

RZ:

Philip Rivers is my fantasy quarterback. He was last year too and did phenomenal for me. Can he put up the same numbers this season?

BB:

This year he will have better targets with Vincent Jackson to start off the year. If everyone stays healthy, he can put up some monster numbers with
Antonio Gates, Malcom Floyd, and Patrick Crayton as his targets. We hope that his numbers are high, but at the same time we would want to see his number of attempts go down, because we would like to be winning more ballgames and running the clock out. You should be fine though!

RZ:

You alright with me starting a petition to get Qualcomm or Kumquat or whatever stadium named back to The Murph, Jack Murphy Stadium? I miss the old Murph days.

BB:

Definitely start it. I never liked the name change to Qualcomm and sometimes I still call it the Murph. I am all for this!

RZ:

Are we going to have to suffer through another 0-4 start before the Chargers turn it on? Last year they finally failed at that opportunity.
However, it was only the first miss after multiple success at that formula.

BB:

We better not, but it will not surprise. Last season we played against some terrible teams and still could not get off the pot till later in the year.
We need to get out of the starting gates quickly and it has been an emphasis in camp. But it has been an emphasis on this team for the last couple of
seasons also.

RZ:

I love San Diego, used to go all the time, but haven’t been in like almost 9 years. If I were to visit and go to a Chargers game this season,
where is the best place to stay?

BB:

If you make the drive out this way, hit me up and you can stay at my pad!  Otherwise, it just depends on what you are looking for. If you want the city
atmosphere, you should kick it in the Gaslamp District. If you want a beach city, you can go down to La Jolla or Del Mar. And if you want to party with all the college kids, you head out to Pacific Beach.
