Cardinals Punt Graham, Add Considine for Safety

Ben Graham, ciao.  The Arizona Cardinals cut their punter for the Minnesota Vikings game after signing him last week due to an injury to punter Dave Zastudil.  Graham was cut in order to add free-agent safety Sean Considine.  Considine played in four games for the Carolina Panthers this season.  Considine was such an unknown to me to be honest, I thought he was a punter replacing Graham.  I think the problem with the press release is that the Cards failed to mention the status of Zastudil.  The punter position is in limbo I guess.

Graham did have a decent average on Sunday, however he did have one horrendous kick that put the Vikings on the Cards 18 yard line after a 22 yard punt.  Not good.  Either Zastudil is expected back or the team was disappointed in the performance of Graham.  The Cards are on a bye week this week.

The Cards clearly need help at safety though after Kerry Rhodes broke a bone in his foot.  Rhodes is expected to miss a few weeks.  At least they went out and found a guy with a little playing experience.  Not that anyone they find will work magic and make the Cards a good defense all of a sudden, but it’s something I guess.  Thank God there is a bye this week!
