Arizona Cardinals On the Bye, A Look at the Rest of NFC West in Week Six
By Scott Allen
The Arizona Cardinals are off on the bye this week, however there are two other NFC West teams that are scheduled to play in week six. The Seattle Seahawks are also off this week. The San Francisco 49’ers and the St. Louis Rams are both in action though in big games for both. While the 49’ers have a chance to create more room between themselves and the Cards, the Rams will be looking to just get a win. They are win-less going into week six. After this week, only the Niners will still have the bye remaining.
The San Francisco 49’ers are off to play the Detroit Lions, who are 5-0. The Niners are 4-1, so this is clearly the game of the day. Before the season began, raise your hand if you thought you were going to be able to say that in week six? Not me. I thought highly of the Lions coming in, however the Niners have been a bit of a surprise. I think the Lions though, at home, go to 6-0.
The St. Louis Rams are 0-4 and honestly, I see them going to 0-5. I really don’t give them much of a shot to defeat the Green Bay Packers, in Green Bay, on Sunday. The schedule makers were kind to give the Rams big home games early, but they lost them all. Coming off a bye though, anything is possible. That’s why they play the games. I say that the Packers though win by two touchdowns.
