Arizona Cardinals Get Three Players in Pro Bowl

So, the Arizona Cardinals do have some good players as it turns out.  In fact, based on votes from fans, their peers, and their coaches, three of them had Pro Bowl seasons.  Receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Safety Adrian Wilson, and Cornerback/Punt Returner Patrick Peterson all received invites to this years party in Hawaii.  Congrats to all three.  The Cards managed to get more players to big game than the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons, and Houston Texans.

I can’t say enough about the contributions of Fitzgerald and Peterson this year.  I was a little surprised to be honest that A-Dub got into the game, but he has played a lot better this season.  He seemed to get a little of that lost step from a year ago back.  He still hits with the same focused energy.

Even though the Cards got three in, there are still a couple of guys who I thought deserved a shot as well.  I’d start with Calais Campbell.  He has a true gripe, but really a lot of guys are deserving of going.  Campbell has had a monster season.  Blocked kicks, passes defensed, he’s been all over the place.  Either way, I’m sure the Cards will do the right thing by giving him a new contract in the off-season.

Another guy I thought deserving was Daryl Washington.  He’s only a second-year guy so I think he will get plenty of chances over the next several years, no doubt.
