Arizona Cardinals Have Coaching Decisions to Make
By Scott Allen
After firing quarterbacks coach Chris Miller earlier this week, the Arizona Cardinals still have a couple of coaching decisions to make, most importantly on offensive line/assistant head coach Russ Grimm. Grimm is being paid $1.6 million by the Cardinals, so it will be interesting to see if any other team would be willing to pay him that type of money.
There has been no news either way since the season ended on Jan 1st. The Cards haven’t said much but mainly because everyone is currently on vacation. Will they extend Grimm? Although people haven’t exactly been on his bandwagon with as bad as the offensive line has been the past couple of seasons, there also hasn’t exactly been noise to get him fired either.
I would expect Grimm to remain with the Cardinals, at least for this season. The Cards most likely will re-tool the offensive line, so I’m sure they will give him a chance to see what he can do with that. I think continuity is key especially with a position like the offensive line.
