Richard Marshall First Cards Free Agent to Fly the Coup
By Scott Allen
Cornerback Richard Marshall, who spent one season with the Arizona Cardinals, signed a contract with the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday night. Reports are he signed a three-year deal with the Fins. He led the Cards in interceptions in 2011.
He played alright in my mind, so it’s only a big loss in the fact the Cards were already lacking depth at corner to begin with. Along with his team leading three interceptions, he also was third on the team in tackles with 78.
It might be easy to say he will be missed, but I will reserve that judgement until after the free agency period has died down and the draft has been completed. It will all come down to who his replacement will be. I wish him nothing but the best in Miami.
