Latest on Cardinals First Round Pick: Staying Put

According to XTRA 910’s Mike Jurecki, The Arizona Cardinals are more likely to trade down than trade up in today’s first round.  However, he said staying put is most likely.  I’ve been reptty much on that line for awhile until grumblings over the past few days had the Cards trying to move up. 

The Cards can still get a quality player at 13, but if it is the offensive line, they had better find someone worth a 13th pick and not make it a stretch.  From the sounds of it, the Cards plan to be wary of just that/  Head coach Ken Whisenhunt indicated that the Cards are more likely to draft based on best available rather than need.

Let’s all hope the Cards stay true to their word.  If they don’t, it could be another bust we are trying to dig out of for the next several years.  It would be nice to avoid that.
