Cardinals OT Levi Brown Feared Lost for the Season
By Scott Allen
I’ve never been much of a fan of Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle Levi Brown. I was against his re-signing in the off-season. Last night, after Brown went down with injury, you’d think I’d be jumping for joy then? No. Not even close. Although I’ve never been a fan, when I learned this morning that Brown is feared lost for the season after tearing his triceps, it was still a blow.
Brown provides consistency on an inconsistent line. The offensive line lays down at times and appears to not be trying. Sometimes it appears it is just a lack of talent. Brown did play better towards the second half of the 2011 season. He provided stability. Now, he’s out three months minimum, maybe the season.
The Cards are now back in the game of musical offensive linemen. It leads to more problems on the field and that is one of the last problems the Cards need to be dealing with right now. For all it’s worth, I hope for a speedy recovery for Brown. It is considered a big loss for them.
