The Arizona Cardinals might have finally found reality. After seemingly controlling things in the first quarter, the Cards started looking like the Cards and the New England Patriots woke up a little, however their offense looks off . You know the old saying, it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. Kevin Kolb’s fumble with just over six minutes left didn’t help and the Cards offense stalling a few times has this game as one of field possession. Still, it’s 6-6 headed to halftime.
The Pats seemed to have stalled the Cards a little bit, but the Cards at times have really stymied themselves. Missed opportunities call it. Just when the Cards would seem to get a drive going on a couple of nice runs, the Pats defense stiffened up.
Pats tight end Aaron Hernandez left the game early with ankle injury and his return is questionable at this point. It might have been just enough to put the Pats offense out of sync. It most likely won’t last all day, but right now it’s been nice to see the Pats offense down a bit. That being said, you hate to see a competitor like Hernandez out so early.
It will be difficult for the Cards to stop the Pats train from rolling in the third. Hopefully they have a lot left in the tank. Right now Tom Brady seems a bit flustered.
