Now that we are a couple of days into the aftermath of the horrible loss to the St. Louis Rams on Thursday night, the Arizona Cardinals can be thankful that even if San Francisco wins today, they are still sitting in first place.  You have to look at it as a glass half-full kind of thing right now.  There wasn’t much positive to take away from the 17-3 loss to the Rams.

The 49’ers most likely are going to win today at home against the Buffalo Bills.  The Seattle Seahawks are off to play the Carolina Panthers, so anything can happen there.  You could have two 4-1 and two 3-2 teams.  Not bad for a division most people wrote off before the season even began.

The Cards should enjoy their Sunday off.  It’ll be back to work tomorrow as they get ready to face that same Bills team next Sunday.  After the Bills, they have a road trip against the Minnesota Vikings and then home for Monday Night Football against the 49’ers.  This is an important stretch before going on the road against the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons.  For now though, it’s still first place no matter what happens after today and that’s a good thing.
