Three and out to start the game for the Arizona Cardinals offense.  Then the Minnesota Vikings ran right down the field for an Adrian Peterson touchdown run.  Then Cards quarterback John Skelton and the Cards had a very nice eight plus minute drive that took them down to the red zone, only to be lost thanks to a Skelton fumble.  Typical Cards football.

Skelton looked great in the second drive.  So did running back LaRod Stephens-Howling.  However turnovers will kill you.  It doesn’t matter what you did leading up to the turnover.  Everything is erased because the other team got the ball back.

Now Minnesota has the ball on their second possession going into the second quarter.  At least the long drive kept the Vikings offense off the field.  There is that.  However if they score as fast as they did last night, it doesn’t really matter in the end.
