So much for everything good that happened last week.  This week the Arizona Cardinals reverted back to poor defense and even worse offense and the result?  A 28-13 loss to the hands of the Chicago Bears, a game that the end result shows was closer than this one really was.  The best thing I can say about today is that there is only one week left in the 2012 season and not a moment too soon.

The end can’t come fast.  The Cards defense was again hurt by the inability of the offense.  Running back Beanie Wells fumbled at his own one-yard line less than halfway through the first quarter and it was recovered for a Bears touchdown.  That was also the end of the day for Wells.  Coach Ken Whisenhunt benched him for the remainder of the game.  Too bad we couldn’t have done the same to him and offensive coordinator Mike Miller.

Quarterback Ryan Lindley started out ok, completing a few good passes but eventually he reverted back to his rookie self and eventually Brian Hoyer saw some action.  He wasn’t much better.  I’m sure net week will be a complete disaster as well.  That will end it though and the house cleaning should begin next week.

Although the offense was stagnant again, they did have a bright spot in Larry Fitzgerald.  He ended up with eight receptions for 111 yards.  Not much else went right except for the field goal block return for touchdown towards the end of the game.

There isn’t much else to say at this point except today is over.  One week left.  Then an overhaul.  Merry Christmas everyone!
