The Arizona Cardinals lost one of their own to the Indianapolis Colts, rumored to be getting a Cleveland Brown, and lost a Miami Dolphin to the Detroit Lions. Not as exciting a first day for the Cards on a day full of free agency activity.
The Cards lost DB Greg Toler to the Colts. It is a bit of a surprise the Cards were willing to let him go, however his injury history may have had something to do with that. Toler will be missed and judging by fan feedback on social media he will be missed a lot.
As for the rumor, the rumor is the Cards are hot and heavy on WR/KR Joshua Cribbs trail. Cribbs has been linked to a few teams on the first day and his agent just tweeted he has found a new team for Cribbs, although he has not identified the team as of yet.
The Cards lost out on RB Reggie Bush, however that is not a surprise. He was leaning toward the Lions yesterday and it turns out that’s where he landed. Now the Cards are rumored to be visited by Rashard Mendenhall, amongst other teams. I’m not sure he’s the best fit for the Cards.
We also may be close to hearing word on the status of QB Kevin Kolb. He’s still due that $2 million bonus on Saturday.
