Profootballtalk.com is reporting the Kansas City Chiefs are going to take OT Eric Fisher with the overall number one pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, which is due to start less than three hours from now.  This was a guy early on many Arizona Cardinals fans thought could be in the mix.  Then it was though he would fall to the Detroit Lions and staying in the same state in which he played college football at Central Michigan.  Now, he’s reportedly set to be the number one pick.

It is a little bit of a surprise that Fisher has jumped up to the number one spot, at least in my eyes.  For quite some time it was believe OT Luke Joeckel from Texas would go number one.  However over the past couple of days there have been a lot of reports with all these guys going anywhere from 1-12.  Todd McShay had Joeckel going 11th in his latest mock, 12th this morning.  Could he still be around at number seven for the Cardinals?  If he is, I sure hope the Cards snag him.  If not, Lane Johnson from Oklahoma.

It is expected though all three of the big OT”s will be gone by the time the Cards pick comes around.  That could mean defense and selecting Dion Jordan OLB from Oregon.  If they stay offense, then Chance Warmack from Alabama or Jonathan Cooper, OG from North Carolina.  Stay tuned.
