It was bound to happen, a big name to go down with an injury.  Arizona Cardinals nose tackle Dan Williams, entering his third season in the NFL, had his leg rolled up on during this morning’s practice in Tempe.  With all the big injuries mounting in the NFL over the first week of training camps, it was only a matter of time before the injury bug made its way to Arizona.

At this point however, whatever happened to Williams is pure speculation.  He left the field and was having tests done to determine the amount of damage he sustained.  From the sounds of things, this may not have a happy ending.  Again though, it is all speculation.  There was no announcement from the Cards after practice as to exactly the extent of the injury.  Word is we should find out Friday morning what the Cards were able to find, if anything.

Williams came to camp lighter than the team wanted him to be but heavier than what Williams wanted to check in at when camp started.  He was at 320 when he reported, however he wants to be at 315.  He is a big part of the defensive line and any length of time missed is too much.

We will wait and see and hope for the best in the morning.
