The Arizona Cardinals and their fans were invested in the 2009 Super Bowl run, but that wasn’t enough to vault them to the top of the league in fan loyalty.

According to a recent study, the Cardinals finished 30th in fan loyalty. Lots of factors went into this method, including median income, stadium capacity, market population and others.

And all of them went against the Cardinals.

The rankings were surprising, as the Seahawks, a team with a widely known, great fanbase, finished 23rd. However, Arizona’s ranking wasn’t surprising. The team isn’t known for having great fans, although the red-clad faithful certainly showed their support during the Cardinals’ run.

We’ll see how the fans support the team, which has given the fans reason to cheer so far, this year. And, if a similar study is conducted next year, we’ll see how the Cardinals rank.
