It’s time to prepare for the real thing.  It may be the Labor Day holiday for most Americans, however the Arizona Cardinals are officially now into Monday of game prep for their next opponent.  The Cards will open week one against the St. Louis Rams.

The Cards will be naming their practice squad on Monday.  It should be interesting to see how the Cards form their squad.  You could try to assume someone like wide receiver Kerry Taylor would be added, however it is not an automatic.  Remember, the Cards can add players cut from other teams as well.  Taylor could also end up on someone else’s squad.

The practice squad is very important.  Should someone go down with an injury, the Cards most likely would then grab someone from the practice squad to take up the roster spot.  It is hard to speculate who the Cards may add, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

The Cards will go through the film on the Rams and practice this week before heading off to St. Louis.  The Cards will have three road games in their first four weeks.  The only home game will be next week in week two against the Detroit Lions.  For now, bring on the Rams!
