In his post-game press conference after a 31-7 loss to the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians mentioned the Cards may be facing multiple season-ending injuries.  According to arizonasports620.com, Arians would not elaborate on the who and how but did say they would find more out after x-rays and evaluation this week.

Of the guys who left the game today and didn’t return for the Cards, the one I would be most concerned about would be linebacker Sam Acho.  The man was playing well when he was hurt and carted off the field.  Personally I missed what happened but reportedly Acho hurt an ankle.  If he misses any significant time, it is horrible timing with the current absence of the suspended Daryl Washington, although Washington is going to miss only one more game and can return against the Carolina Panthers on October 5th.

As for the other injuries, linebacker Lorenzo Alexander left the game in the first half and also did not return.  He had been on the injury list this week but of course ended up playing.  He looked to be in quite some pain when he was taken off.  Also safety Rashad Johnson left the game with a injured finger however I know nothing more of what happened there.  Other than that I am not aware of any major injuries, however that seems to be a month’s full of them right there.  Clearly we will be on the injury watch this week.  The team will be staying in Florida as they prepare for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next Sunday.
