The Arizona Cardinals didn’t move in the playoff standings on Sunday with their 30-10 victory.  That doesn’t mean they didn’t move closer to a possible playoff spot though.  The Carolina Panthers lost to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday night, dropping them to 9-4, just one game in front of the Cards.  The Seattle Seahawks didn’t do the Cards any favors by losing to the San Francisco 49ers, so the Niners stayed one game ahead.

The Cards have the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Panthers. The Niners have the tiebreaker over the Cards.  The Cards can be one game behind the Panthers going into week 17 and still have a chance.  They however need to be at least tied with the Niners going into week 17 in order to beat them out.

Here are the current standings:

1. Seattle Seahawks11-2

2. New Orleans Saints 10-3

3. Philadelphia Eagles 8-5

4. Detroit Lions 7-6

5. Carolina Panthers 9-4

6. San Francisco 49ers 9-4
