It’s never too early to talk about the 2014 NFL season, even only an hour since the Seattle Seahawks destroyed the Denver Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII. The early Las Vegas odds are out and the Arizona Cardinals are set as 30/1 odds to win it all in 2014. Keep in mind the game is also in the Cards home stadium next season.  No team has ever played a Super Bowl in its own stadium.

Of course the Seahawks have been installed as the favorites at 7/1.  Others are:

Denver Broncos: 8/1

San Francisco 49ers: 8/1

New England Patriots: 12/1

Green Bay Packers: 20/1

New Orleans Saints: 20/1

Atlanta Falcons: 25/1

Cincinnati Bengals: 25/1

Carolina Panthers: 25/1

A little bit of a surprise with the Falcons jumping to 25/1.  They have some offensive line and defensive issues they are going to need to address.  The Bengals could be in a possible mess at the quarterback position.  The Panthers I think should be higher.  No real other surprises though looking at the top contenders in 2014.

As for the Cards, 30/1 I’m alright with.  You have the whole hosting thing I just discussed and then the Cards need to get into the playoffs.  Oh and they have some contract issues to deal with, namely Karlos Dansby and Larry FitzgeraldPatrick Peterson also will be in the final year of his contract.  It could be worth taking a trip though to Las Vegas and putting some cash down on the Cards to win it all.  You never know.
