Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians will be hosting the Arizona Celebrity Golf Classic next weekend March 7-9 at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa. The classic will benefit the Arians Family Foundation. The foundation supports CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) in making sure that children who are involved in the court system, as a result of abuse or neglect by their families, receive the love and help they need.
The inaugural event will bring in many current and former football players. The shotgun start will be at 12:30 on Saturday March 8th. Some people who are confirmed to attend include Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Michael Oher, Cards receiver Larry Fitzgerald, and former running back Eric Dickerson.
Actor Eddie Cibrian, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, and Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck are also scheduled to participate. The Arians Family Foundation was started last year by Arians and his wife Christine. Other Cards scheduled to attend are safety Tyrann Mathieu, quarterback Carson Palmer, defensive end Calais Campbell, cornerback Jerraud Powers, long snapper Mike Leach, and cornerback Patrick Peterson.
It’s a great thing Arians is doing with his foundation and hopefully this is just the first of many of these events his foundation will put on in support of helping Arizona children.
