According to ESPN.com news the Arizona Cardinals and corner back Antonio Cromartie have reach a one year deal and the terms have not yet been diclosed, but this is a great signing in many ways than one. The Cardinals get to test the ex-star cover corner for one year and see if he can get back to his ball hawking style he played as a member of the Jets and Chargers.
Cromartie had an off year last year for a player of his caliber only recording 3 int’s and was beat on numerous plays, and a lot went into that performance including a nagging hip injury.
In prove it mode like his one year deal , Cromartie has left a message on his instagram account and according to the message I’m sure he is lookingg forward to proving he can still get it done at a high level.
In my opinion every star may have an off year from injury or what have you, but their pure talent and ability always seem to come back to the forefront for one last ride. The Cardinals look to catch that lightning in a bottle as now they have sured up the outside corners adding Cromartie with the up and coming star Patrick Peterson. This is a good step in the right direction in being able to lock down receivers and makes the need for a better pass rush even that more important.
