Today`s topic on RaisingZona is, should the Cardinals resign Eric Winston? There is only one answer to that question, YES. Bobby Massie had trouble learning Bruce Arians` system last year and having Winston in the mix is better than just having Bradley Sowell.

In my article, The Big Five, having Winston at RT, Paul Fanaika or Ted Larsen at RG, Lyle Sendlein at C, Jonathan Cooper at LG, and Jared Veldheer at LT is the Cardinals meal ticket this up-coming season.Everyone but Cooper has starting experience and with the Cardinals defense, this line-up is perfect. Steve Keim and Arians need to keep this unit together so if someone goes down, the back-ups have starting experience. Most will also have a year under their belt in this system, also making Massie fight for his job will make him better.

I was reading about how some fans want the Cardinals to draft a RT within the first two rounds and I for one say NO. There is much more pressing needs for the Cardinals for them to take an offensive lineman in one of the higher rounds. They need to take C.J. Mosley with their first pick with D-Wash having problems with the law. With their second pick, I can see them going with TE, Troy Niklas out of Notre Dame or DE, Trent Murphy out of Stanford. Resign Winston and don`t worry about the O-Line until next year is their best bet.

The left side of the line should be fine, but Veldheer is brand new to the system and Cooper is still pretty much a rookie. They don`t need another rookie on the line learning a new system. Being in the NFC West, they need to come out of the gate ready as ever in 2014.

The line is already stronger with Veldheer and getting Cooper back. They should`nt be messing around with the line, looking to see if they can make it stronger than it already is. I don`t want to see the Cardinals going 10-6 and missing out on a playoff berth again.
