Wasting little time, the Arizona Cardinals signed three of their seven draft picks on Thursday to contracts. You like to see a team move fast to get your draftees going. None of the signed picks was first rounder Deone Bucannon but signings should show the Cards mean business.
Second-round draft pick, tight end Troy Niklas and third-round picks defensive end Kareem Martin and wide receiver John Brown all signed their contracts on Thursday. Is it is a good start and according to reports the Cards don’t expect to take long to sign their other guys.
It is a far cry from years past when the Cards would have a tough time getting their picks to sign, especially the high round picks. Granted Bucannon isn’t inked to a deal yet but hopefully he will be soon. The last thing the Cards need is the distraction of contract signings going into training camp at the end of July.
