As the Arizona Cardinals finish off the off-season in preparation for the start of training camp on July 25th in Glendale at University of Phoenix Stadium, we are going to take a look at the team roster from A to Z as it currently stands. Next up is inside linebacker Jonathan Brown.
College: Brown was named the Illinois defensive player of the year in 2013. He was second-team All-Big Ten in 2013. He had a career total of 45.5 tackles for losses in his time with the Illini. That is good enough for third all time. He was a Butkus Award Semifinalist in 2012.
2014: Given his history, I wouldn’t bet against him. Sure, he’s not high on the depth chart right now but given the instability of the the linebacker core recently, the Cards will probably give him a long look. I think he has a shot. Also could be a practice squad candidate, if not for Arizona, for someone.
