As the Arizona Cardinals finish off the off-season in preparation for the start of training camp on July 25th in Glendale at University of Phoenix Stadium, we are going to take a look at the team roster from A to Z as it currently stands. Next up is running back Jonathan Dwyer.
2013 season: After a decent 2012 season, Dwyer dropped off a bit. He had just 197 yards rushing on 49 carries and no touchdowns. He rushed for two touchdowns and 623 yards the year before.
2014 season: Look for a re-birth from Dwyer. I would expect more production from the former Pittsburgh Steelers back than last years former Steeler Rashard Mendenhall. Dwyer is going to split carries with Andre Ellington, although it will be more a run by committee at times. Dwyer is a lot like Ellington in that he can catch the ball out of the backfield as well. He only had eight receptions last year but had 18 in 2012, so I look for the Cards to utilize him much like they do Ellington in that sense.
