As the Arizona Cardinals finish off the off-season in preparation for the start of training camp on July 25th in Glendale at University of Phoenix Stadium, we are going to take a look at the team roster from A to Z as it currently stands. Next up is inside linebacker Larry Foote.
2013 season: Foote only played in one game in 2013 but played a full season with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012, his second stint with the team. He had 113 tackles and four sacks in 2012. This is the player the Cards hope they are getting.
2014 season: Foote isn’t getting any younger. He just turned 34 last month and is headed into his 13th season in the NFL. He was released by the Steelers in March. The pickup by the Cards wasn’t all the surprising given the history of picking up players from the Steelers and their propensity to grab former Steelers. I think if the Cards can get three-fourths of what he produced in 2012, they will be happy with that production at a position of a lot of uncertainty.
