Based on the last article the division title may have been lost last week to the Seattle Seahawks, the Arizona Cardinals could be playing spoiler for the San Francisco 49ers in the final week of the prediction season regarding the division. The Cards just have not fared well to the Niners in their building and every time they have come close to a win something catastrophic interrupts the success and send disappointment back. Last years game was a heartbreaking defeat that featured the Cardinals on the verge of taking the lead and the momentum in the game. Carson Palmer hits veteran Larry Fitzgerald on a skinny post route which was completed and from behind Fitzgerald gets striped of the ball and game over. Sorry to remind you fans, but after that it was turn-overs trying to get back in the game.
This year once again the Niners are last on the schedule as they were two years ago when the game meant nothing, now the Cardinals may be fighting for a playoff spot depending on the standings of the other NFC divisions. After carefully thinking it out the five teams that would be before them are the four division winners( in this case the Cardinals will not be one), more likely the Saints, Eagles,Packers,49ers, and then the final two spots would be either another NFC East team or the Central, so that would most likely be the Bears or Redskins or Cowboys and then the Cardinals will be in the mix, and you got to like their chances with those teams unless a sleeper riases up.
When week 17 is done the Cardinals will have lost the chance to get the 11th win and will finish 10-6 again and the same scenario could end up playing out which left them on the outside looking into the playoff race two years straight. But the hope is that the other two remaining teams to make it in the playoffs do not have 10 win seasons, and looking at the other teams only the Bears may get there. So cardinals fans remember these are just predictions and the team can very well win 10 games once again and the playoff outcome may look better than last year, we will wait and see.
