As the Arizona Cardinals finish off the off-season in preparation for the start of training camp on July 25th in Glendale at University of Phoenix Stadium, we are going to take a look at the team roster from A to Z as it currently stands.  Next up is tight end Troy Niklas.

2013 season: Niklas caught 32 passes for 498 yards and five touchdowns for Notre Dame last season.

2014 season: Niklas is a converted linebacker, where he started his college career with the Fighting Irish.  Although he put up decent offensive numbers last year he is known more for his blocking skills.  NFL.com even said he would be the best blocking tight end in the NFL if he wanted to be.  He has good build but still has a lot to learn with all the in’s and out’s of the tight end position.  Cards took him in second round, so they obviously are high on him.  He enters camp with a soft cast on his arm but should be able to practice.  He’ll probably land third on the depth chart when the season starts.
