As the Arizona Cardinals are in preparation for the season with training camp now in full swing in Glendale at University of Phoenix Stadium, we are taking a look at the team roster from A to Z as it currently stands. Next up is quarterback Drew Stanton.
2013 season: Stanton played backup to Carson Palmer. He did not get into any regular season games last season.
2014 season: You can pretty much count on a repeat of the 2013 season for Stanton. Unless Palmer gets injured at some point during the season, Stanton will be the number two quarterback. I think he is a very capable backup but Palmer clearly is the better quarterback. Last season we all saw Palmer struggle mightily at times, so you know it will take a lot to bring Stanton into a game in favor of Palmer if he isn’t injured.
