As the Arizona Cardinals are in preparation for the season with training camp now in full swing in Glendale at University of Phoenix Stadium, we are taking a look at the team roster from A to Z as it currently stands. Next up is guard/center Anthony Steen.
2013 season: Steen, from the University of Alabama, started 11 games last year as a senior and 14 games the previous year as a junior. He missed last season’s Sugar Bowl due to injury.
2014 season: He is currently listed third on the depth chart at right guard. He performed well in pass protection at Alabama, something I’m sure made the Cards happy. It is somewhat interesting though that he was projected as a fourth or fifth-round pick in the NFL Draft but he ended up going undrafted and then signed as a free agent with the Cards. His short arms are seen as a weakness with a 30 1/2 arm length. Certainly his preseason game action will have a huge say in whether he makes the roster or not.
