The Arizona Cardinals (0-0) host the Houston Texans (0-0) on Saturday night at University of Phoenix Stadium.  This is the first preseason game for both teams.  The two teams last met in the 2013 regular season, with the Cardinals defeating the Texans in Glendale 27-24.

Other notes:

This is the rookie debut of Texans number one draft pick Jadeveon Clowney.  There was a bit of controversy, if you want to call it that, when Clowney said he would start on Saturday night.  Texans first-year coach Bill O’Brien said that was news to him.  We’ll see.  Either way, expect to see Clowney.

Cardinals starters should see about 15 snaps, at least according to what coach Bruce Arians said earlier in the week.  This might end up being a little more or less depending on how the first drive goes.

Expect to see a lot of Drew Stanton and Logan Thomas at quarterback.  Guard Jonathan Cooper will also get his first playing action since breaking his leg last preseason against the San Diego Chargers.

Kicking duties will alternate in the preseason according to Arians.  Chandler Catanzaro from Clemson will kick this week against the Texans.

Some players to watch will be offensive linemen Bobby Massie and Paul Fanaika. I am also excited to see what Cards first-round pick, safety Deone Bucannon has to offer.
