As the Arizona Cardinals are in preparation for the season with training camp now in full swing in Glendale at University of Phoenix Stadium, we are taking a look at the team roster from A to Z as it currently stands. Next up is defensive tackle Christian Tupou.
2013 season: The defensive tackle from USC has made the rounds in his short NFL career. He was in training camp with the Chicago Bears last season and then cut before being re-signed onto the Bears practice squad last October. He made it to the active roster in November and played in five games last season. He made three tackles. Since being released at the end of December by the Bears, he has spent short periods with the Indianapolis Colts and the San Francisco 49ers. The Cards signed him in May.
2014 season: He’s fourth on the depth chart at nose tackle. That’s not exactly an optimal spot if you are going to be making this team with this defense. That being said, he does have some experience and he must have something coaches like if he got a couple of looks by the Bears. I’m not sure what that translates to in Arizona but most likely won’t make this roster.
