The Arizona Cardinals came away with a 25-14 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon.  Here are the game balls for this week.  This week they all go to Cardinals.

Offense – Drew Stanton.  Yes I know Andre Ellington had 15 carries for 91 yards. But for Stanton to go to New York and start in place of Carson Palmer, in their home opener and not make many mistakes, was impressive.  Stanton went 14-29 for 167 yards.  Most importantly he no interceptions.  Not bad for a guy who hadn’t started a game since 2010.

Defense – Calais Campbell.  I almost gave it to Larry Foote again but Campbell had 10 tackles and one sack.  He also created a fumble that was unfortunately overturned due to a questionable penalty.  He was a beast on Sunday.

Special Teams – It’s hard not to give it to kicker Chandler Catanzaro but I have to skip him over today.  Ted Ginn gets the ball today though because he finally showed up and had a 71-yard punt return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.  It was a game changer and came at the right time as the Cards had been struggling to move the ball down the field.  Let’s hope we see more of that.
