Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer is being questioned in regard to a domestic violence act against his wife. He is currently at Phoenix Police headquarters being questioned.
The initial report indicated that Dwyer had been arrested however at this point he has not been. He was pulled from practice on Wednesday and it was supposedly to go answer questions from the police.
There was an unconfirmed reports of details of what took place but right now I will not disclose any of them here until we learn more from the police. If any of this is true, the Cards need to cut ties with Dwyer immediately. There will need to be quick action taken by the Cards regardless of what the decision may be. If nothing comes of any of this and all that happens is that he ends up being questioned, then let’s immediately move back to football.
I will say this, national media don’t see Dwyer as consequential as guys like Adrian Peterson, Greg Hardy and Ray Rice.
Doesn’t matter who the player is. If the act was proven to be committed or there is even evidence as such, the Cards need to remove Dwyer from the team now in whatever fashion they can.
