The Arizona Cardinals continued the linebacking carousel on Wednesday by bringing back linebacker Desmond Bishop.  Bishop was released after spending the end of the preseason with the team.

After the Cards released Victor Butler on Tuesday, it left a roster spot open.  Today, they added Bishop back.  It was a bit of a surprise Bishop was released in the first place given the team’s troubles at the position.  However they brought in help from elsewhere at the position.  Now with Butler gone, they are giving Bishop another shot.

Bishop was coming off a torn ACL last season with the Minnesota Vikings.  He spent his first five seasons with the Green Bay Packers.  It will be interesting to see how the Cards decide to use Bishop, if they even play him at all or are they just biding time for someone else to come along, say a healthy Alex Okafor?  It is a fluid position on the team, so these guys shouldn’t expect to settle in for too long.
