Arizona Cardinals Could See Carson Palmer Start On Sunday

Head coach Bruce Arians and the Arizona Cardinals still did not know who their starting quarterback against the Washington Redskins would be as of Friday afternoon.  As of Sunday morning, we may have a couple of ideas but no matter the outcome it appears the Cards will have choices, which is a good thing.  One of those choices is Carson Palmer.

It is being reported by Adam Schefter that it is “likely” that Palmer starts today.  I’m not taking that to the bank.  Schefter isn’t here in Arizona and reports I’ve read here indicate that Palmer is going to go through a workout this morning to determine his availability.

The good news in all of this though is even if Palmer can’t go, it appears Drew Stanton can.  He passed his concussion protocol test on Friday afternoon.  The Cards will not make an announcement either way though until later in the morning about an hour and a half before kickoff.  That’s when the inactives report is released.

This is the best possible outcome the Cards and Cards fans could have asked for this week.  Logan Thomas just isn’t ready and even though they are facing the Redskins, anything can happen on any given Sunday.  It is possible though the Cards have all three quarterbacks active just in case today.
