Video: Cardinals vs. Raiders, The Last Time They Met

Paging Ted Ginn.  Hey Arizona Cardinals fans, do you remember the last time the Cardinals played the Oakland Raiders in the regular season?  It was 2010.  Week three of the football season.  The Cards hosted the game in Glendale.  It all started with a bang.

LaRod Stephens-Howling, the now former Cards running back and kick returner, ran back the opening kickoff of the game 102 yards for a touchdown.  It was a game that went back and forth.  Derek Anderson was the starting quarterback for the Cards.

The Cards took a 24-20 lead late in the fourth quarter with a touchdown pass from Anderson to receiver Larry Fitzgerald.  Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski kicked a 23-yard field goal about halfway through the fourth to bring them to within 24-23.  He would get one more shot.  It was a game I’m sure Janikowski would rather forget.

Janikowski ended up with a 3-6 day on field goals.  One of those misses was a 32-yarder that went wide left to seal the victory for the Cardinals.  The win put the Cards at 2-1 on the season, one in which would only see them win three more times en route to a 5-11 season.

So now, maybe Ted Ginn will get a hold of this and see what can happen when you break a kickoff return at University of Phoenix Stadium.  He does have the one punt return for a touchdown against the New York Giants but he is yet to break one on a kickoff.  Will lightning strike twice?
