Although he practices in limited fashion, Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington has been bringing it on gameday

Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians has said he wished that running back Andre Ellington would be able to practice in full each week.  He has been unable to do so this season.  However, as long as he is performing the way he is on gameday, Arians is just fine with the amount of practice Ellington is getting.

More from Cardinals News

In the Cardinals 28-17 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Ellington out played running back DeMarco Murray.  Ellington had 21 carries for 95 yards along with a four receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown.  Murray had 19 carries for 79 yards.  He also had four receptions but just for 11 yards.

Ellington continues his versatility.  The receiving touchdown was his second of the season.  He also has two rushing touchdowns.  His four receptions though now give him 32 on the season.  There are a lot of wide receivers that don’t have that many so far this season.

On Sunday he had a 20-yard  also a 20-yard reception and then found himself wide open for the Carson Palmer touchdown pass.  His average per carry on Sunday at 4.5 yards-per-carry was the highest it had been since week two against the New York Giants when he was at 6.1 yards-per-carry.

His injured foot is expected to be an issue most of the season.  There may not be any full practices for Ellington this season but as long as he is making it count on Sunday’s I don’t think there will be any complainers.
