Kansas City Chiefs Lead Arizona Cardinals 14-6 At Halftime

Arizona Cardinals fail to score touchdown on first drive of quarter after stalling inside 10-yard line
I’m not sure the Kansas City Chiefs have done as much about the lack of touchdowns for the Arizona Cardinals as the Cardinals have with their questionable play calling. The Cards started off the second quarter with a 16-play, 65-yard drive that resulted in a field goal.

The Cardinals had to settle for another Chandler Catanzaro field goal to bring the Cardinals to 7-6 after they got themselves inside the 10-yard line. They called an 8-yard back pass though to running back Marion Grice that went absolutely nowhere.
On the ensuing Chiefs drive they looked to have their backs to the wall on a third and 14 but quarterback Alex Smith found a huge hole down the middle of the field and ran for a first down.
The Cardinals for all its worth can tackle anyone this afternoon. The Cardinals allowed the Chiefs to get a first down on that third and 14 and also allowed the Chiefs to convert on a third and 19. Two plays later, Smith found running back Jamaal Charles for a touchdown.
There is your difference. The Cardinals offense has moved the ball today and settled for field goals on horrible play calling when they approach or get into the red zone. The Chiefs call great plays and convert their drives into touchdowns. Unfortunately this doesn’t appear it will be the Cardinals day. Again. Maybe the experts were right. This team may not win another game. They certainly won’t playing football like this on both sides of the ball.
